Our Brand Story
TONi is the name behind Grid, Insights and Keep — a personal computing platform built on one belief: privacy isn't a setting, it's the default. The name carries that belief. Capital T‑O‑N, lowercase i — a small, deliberate departure from "TONI" and "toni," both already taken, chosen because everything about TONi is built around unification, inside out, and privacy.
Founded August 20, 2026, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, by a solo founder with no outside funding and no co-founder. The full story — the September afternoon the idea started, the year it took to become real — lives on the About page.
Our interface uses Harmony, TONi's design system, so Grid, Insights and Keep share one palette, one rhythm, and one voice — see it live on the Harmony page.
The Two Pillars
TONi Core Philosophy
Our brand rests on two foundational pillars that guide every decision and product we create:
1. Privacy by Default
Intelligent tools are powerful, but using one should not mean handing your data to whoever built it. Keep is being built as an offline-first agent runtime: the model, the planner, memory, the permission layer and tool execution all run locally, on ordinary hardware, so the agent can do real work with no network at all. Internet access, web search and connected applications are tools the agent may reach for when connectivity is there — not dependencies it fails without.
2. Harmony
The name is the operating principle. A design system's job is not to make every screen identical — it is to let independent parts hold one key. Grid, Insights and Keep each do a different job and each has its own shape, but they share a palette, a rhythm and a voice, so moving between them never feels like changing products.
Visual Identity
The TONi Logo
A 3×3 grid of rounded squares joined by connective strokes — Grid, drawn literally. The red-to-orange gradient is the one constant across every cut.
View in DetailsColor Palette
Two brand colors — vermillion red fading to warm orange — plus a warm neutral ramp. Illustration and interface never share a texture, but they always share this palette.
Typography
Onest, a geometric sans, across the entire interface — one voice from a button label to a full page of documentation.
